Pastor Robert Lee King Jr. is a devoted servant of God, a loving husband to First Lady Regina King, and the oldest son and one of three siblings raised by a God-fearing father who anchored him deeply in the Holy Scriptures. Though he was taught early to walk in the truth, his life became a powerful, living testimony of God’s relentless grace and ultimate surrender.

Shortly after marrying his beloved wife in August of 1996, the Lord powerfully touched his heart and drew him back to the faith. That September, he received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost and set his feet firmly on the path of righteousness. Yet, through heavy trials and tribulations, Pastor King stumbled and walked away from the faith for a couple of years. During that dark season, his family, his marriage, and his health fell into complete shambles. But just like God—who is rich in mercy and no respecter of persons—the Lord tugged on his heart with an overwhelming love he had never felt before. In his brokenness, Pastor King made a sacred vow: “Lord, if You fix my life, my marriage, and my health, I will never turn my back on You again.”

God faithfully answered that prayer. Returning to the house of God in 2011, the Lord deeply dealt with his heart under the dynamic leadership of the late Bishop Henry Foley Carmichael and Overseer Wilbur Charles Robinson Jr. Answering the call to service, Elder King went on to serve faithfully as the assistant pastor at Grace Temple Church for at least 5 years under Overseer Robinson Jr. When the pandemic hit in 2020, God drew him into a strategic season of isolation to teach him His voice, and His voice only. This divine pruning launched him heavily into the highways and byways—strengthening his commitment to street and nursing home ministries, feeding the less fortunate, and uplifting the elderly and disabled.

The ultimate fulfillment of his vow came in 2025, when Overseer Robinson Jr. received the divine call that it was time for Pastor Robert Lee King Jr. to take the mantle and push forward in doing God’s perfect will. Today, serving as Pastor and leading the nonprofit organization “King of Grace Inc.”, he refuses to let the church be run like a worldly clubhouse. Instead, he opens wide the doors to equip the saints to go out into the world, boldly sharing the redeeming love of the Man who died for us all more than 2,000 years ago to redeem us back where we belong. Standing square on the straight and narrow through constant fasting and prayer, Pastor King gives God all the honor, the glory, and the highest praise for a restored life, dedicated entirely to ensuring God’s people see Him in peace.
